| Breaking my chain of seemingly random posts, I bring you yet another pointless and random post. Oh, wait...that doesn't break the chain at all. Oh, well.
I want to wish everyone a belated Merry X-mas, or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year. I'm in a pretty good mood myself, as I finally got my hands on a Wii today, and I must say it should make for a good second console. I've basically decided at this point that the only way I'm getting a PS3 is if Blu-Ray wins the next gen format war or in the even less likely even that Sony gets some exclusive killer ap that I absolutely must have. I'll I've done with the Wii so far is play about an hour of Wii Sports, it was a nice diversion, but in the end it's only a mini game compilation, I'll be getting a real game tomorrow and that something I'm looking a little more forward to.
Not much is going on for me, my job change that I had (I think only a couple people on here knew about that) ended up not working out, so I'm back at ShopKo again, though that's not such a bad thing. I've met plenty of interesting people working at that store, and I'm still determined to get the specialist position for the electronics department so I can prove to those managers that I'm not as lazy as they think I am. Anyway, I could rant on some more, but I think that I'll take my leave. Take it easy guys, I'm sure I'll end up posting something on here again sometime. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Beacause one can only wish to be as cool as starnik ;)
I agree with the part where Eddie never, ever, ever, gives you life when you can really use it. It's always lame weapon energy. | comments: Leave a comment |
| So, went to an Assets of Power tournament for UFS today. It's a pretty big event. We played at a gaming store in Omaha called PhantaC comics. We had 22 people show up, and Zach ended up getting second.
I was pretty impressed with how I did. The whole Top 8 experience was really weird, as I was in disbelief the entire time. I loved the store too, it's privately owned and it's owned by this guy who just wanted to have a store where people could hang out and play, he's got tables for gaming as well as couches and stuff, and he sells comics, CCGs, and card games like Munchkin. It's over around 108th and Q, and I would want to go up there again sometime for another tournament, though the current goal of our UFS group is to try to bring in some new players and that kinda takes priority right now so we can keep the game alive. That and only have like 12 people means we play a lot of the same people over and over again. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

| So, I've been filled in on some of the happenings from NebKon. I probably should have come, but ah well...there's always next year. Good job guys. Kudos on a job well done. :) I heard I got asked about, and so I feel kinda bad about not coming.
Turned 23 on Friday, that was exciting. We sat around and played GH3 for a majority of the night. Getting Rock Band on Tuesday, that'll be super amounts of fun. :) | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I just saw a listing on RightStuf.com for a Phoenix Wright manga series, they listed two volumes with the first coming out in March '08. Could be interesting... | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| New One Piece Dub Clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!
Much better than the 4suck version. Sadly the clip is low quality, and cuts off at about 32 second, but it still makes me all the more excited for the premiere on Toonami next week! ^_^ | comments: Leave a comment |

| For anyone who hasn't seen this, and loves the Wily Castle theme from Megaman 2, watch this video that Dan found. The video is from one of the Ultraman PS2 games, but it's the music that counts. ;)
There's a bunch of different versions of this song too, if you're interested, I have links to a couple of different versions. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| Well, the 'ol E-Machines is finally dead. The motherboard is fried, hardcore. I had a friend whose dad works on computers takes a look at it and apparently when the power supply fried it took the motherboard with it.
The silver lining? He is going to sell me one of his computers that he built. He put my computer's processor, video card, and hard drive in it and is selling me everything else for $130. The mother board is pretty hardcore, it has 5 PCI slots and 2 AGP slots, and plenty of room to add more RAM, with 768 currently in it (my computer's 256 and a 512 he's providing), it'll be nice having something that I can actually do some customizing with will be nice. He's also offered to sell me a flat screen DLP monitor if I'd like, and it might actually be nice to have something fancier than what I have now. Well, I guess we'll see how it works out after I pay for it. | comments: Leave a comment |
| So, I had put in for the electronics department at work since the previous guy...is no longer working there. Anyway, so I got called up to the office today to hear their decision. I was the only person in our store who had applied to for the position, so you'd figure I'd get it since I'm trained to work in the department and I've been with the store for over a year.
The decision? Well, I didn't get it.
Instead of me, they've decided that it'd be better to hire some new guy off the street. Despite the fact that I was expecting this to be the outcome, I'm still not happy about it. I'm going to refuse to help train the new guy, mostly because I feel that them asking me to do so would be insulting. Anyway, I'm done on the hardlines side of the sales floor. I've now been denied the electronics position twice, and I'm just fed up. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Lots of gaming recently, I ended up picking up another PSP, since I'm weak and it has many a cool game both out and upcoming. I bought Valkyrie Profile with it and my dad got me both of the Megaman games. Other than that, the 360 has been fired up a lot recently, as I've been enjoying both Shadowrun, which I sadly only rented, and Forza 2. I've also picked up Etrian Odyssey, which I've been enjoying but I haven't played a lot of it yet, it really reminds me of the days I spent on games like Shining the Holy Ark and Arcana.
Anyway, Pokemon Shenanigans ensue! I've come up with some move sets for Pokemon I'd like to potentially use, though who knows when I'll actually get around to it with these other games I've been playing...anyway, here ya go.
Flareon @ Chesto Berry Adamant Nature 252 Atk, 128 Sp. Def, 128 Spd Ability: Flash Fire
- Fire Fang - Curse - Return - Rest
Projected Stats @ Level 100 HP 334 Atk 457 Def 219 Sp.Atk 260 Sp.Def 341 Spd 261
This Flareon is meant to be a brutal physical sweeper, Fire Fang is the only physical based Fire move he can learn, so I'm pretty much stuck with it. Curse is used to max out Flareon's Attack Power, which in turn makes Return and Fire Fang hit a lot harder. Return is for things not weak to fire, though STAB'd Fire Fang should be quite deadly, even if they are resistant. Rest is there to keep me alive, and the Chesto Berry will wake me up when put to sleep.
Shiftry @ Power Herb Hasty Nature Ability: Chlorophyll 252 Atk, 128 Def, 128 Sp.Def
- Explosion - Sunny Day - Solar Beam - Protect
Projected Stats @ Level 100 HP 384 Atk 362 Def 229 Sp. Atk 279 Sp.Def 251 Spd 287
This one is just a fun one I've been wanting to do with R/S, it's just a Kamikaze. I start fighting and when I'm about dead I use my 360+ Atk to blow up and take my opponent down with me. The EV spread is pretty good, and once Sunny Day is used, my speed is doubled. BOOM!
Gardevoir @ Leftovers Modest Nature Ability: Trace 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd
- Psychic - Calm Mind - Shadow Ball - Thunder Wave
Projected Stats @ Level 100 HP 340 Atk 206 Def 229 Sp.Atk 446 Sp.Def 329 Speed 312
Special Sweeper, it's pretty straight forward. CM up, use TW as needed and Psychic or Shadow Ball for everything else, everything will fall under Gardevoir's mighty hand.
Gallade @ Leftovers Adamant Nature Ability: Steadfast 252 Atk, 252 Spd
- Close Combat - Psycho Cut - Stone Edge - Bulk Up
Projected Stats @ Level 100 HP 340 Atk 446 Def 229 Sp.Atk 229 Sp.Def 329 Spd 347
Another physical sweeper, his move set is pretty close to Gardevoir, but instead of a disabling move I've included three attacks to cover my weakness, since Gallade is a Psychic/Fighting. Anyway, just Bulk Up and attack, this one is very straight forward.
I'm not sure how good these sets are, but here they are. If anyone needs any help with move sets, I'm glad to help. Anyway, later all. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
